FJSHS Students Place at District DECA Competition

DECA State Qualifiers 2019
Fostoria High School Marketing Education students competed in the District II DECA Competition on Monday, the 28th of January. DECA, which is a co-curricular student organization, is an association of marketing education students.  Students compete in a variety of different events including advertising, hospitality, finance, business administration and marketing.  There were 11 schools represented and over 350 students competing. Students placing in the top four advance to the state DECA competition, which will be held in Columbus on March 15-16. 

Competition results are as follows:

Retail Merchandising – 1st Place – Naija Miller

Automotive Marketing -  1st Place -  Shawn Vilaisack

Marketing Communications – 2nd Place – Abby Stultz

Restaurant and Food Service – 2nd Place – Alex Sierra

Sports and Entertainment Team Decision Making - 2nd Place – Xavier Diaz and Baily Hayward

Business Law and Ethics Team Decision Making – 4th Place – Dylan Stultz and Wyatt Russell

Financial Analysis Team Decision Making – 4th Place – Kaitlyn Casiano and Grace Cassidy

Business Finance – 4th Place – Jocelyn Bisson
