Welcome to the Fostoria Intermediate Elementary School Counselor’s Page!

I work with students individually, in classrooms, and in small group settings. Students often complete self-referrals to meet with me individually; however, students are also referred to me by teachers, administrators, and parents.

During my classroom visits, I work with students regarding character traits, such as Attitude/Self-Control, Caring, Cooperation, Courage, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility. We make connections between the character traits and the following Leader in Me Seven Habits:

  1. Be Proactive.
  2. Begin with the End in Mind.
  3. Put First Things First.
  4. Think Win-Win.
  5. Seek First to Understand, Then to be Understood.
  6. Synergize.
  7. Sharpen the Saw.

I also work with students in Lunch Bunch (small groups during lunch). All students have been given the opportunity to sign up for one or more of the following Lunch Bunch topics: Anger Management, Family Support, School Success, Self-Concept, and Social Skills. Students that participate in Lunch Bunch can benefit from learning how to accept responsibility, manage stress, communicate effectively, make decisions, build self-confidence, and solve problems. Each Lunch Bunch meets once a week for six weeks during lunch and recess.

Please call me or email me if you have any questions or concerns regarding your son or daughter. I am here to help.
