The Fostoria Board of Education met for a regular meeting at 6:04 p.m. on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at the Fostoria Junior/Senior High School.

The meeting was called to order by President Dr. Guernsey with the following members present: Mr. P. Grine, Mr. T. Grine, Ms. Stannard, Mr. Thompson, and Dr. Guernsey.

MOTION NO. 17-105 TREASURER RECOMMENDATIONS:
Ms. Stannard moved to approve the following Treasurer recommendations:

A. Approval of the minutes of the following Board of Education meetings:

1) Work Session of July 25, 2017
2) Regular Meeting of July 25, 2017

B. Approval of the following Financial Statements for July 2017 as submitted:

1) Cash Reconciliation
2) All Checks Report
3) FINSUM Report
4) July Report on General Fund
C. Approve the substitute/miscellaneous employee rates for the 2017-2018 school year as presented.

D. Approve the Treasurer to pay all 2017-2018 athletic and musical event workers from the respective special revenue or agency fund for positions not included in the supplemental salary schedule outlined in the FEA agreement.

E. Authorize the treasurer to transfer cash balances from the Class of 2017 (200-9017) to the Class of 2018 (200-9018).

MOTION NO. 17-107 CATHE BUCHER
Ms. Stannard moved to approve paying Cathe Bucher, at the tutor rate, per time sheet submitted, for time spent administering Ohio State Tests July 24-28, 2017.

Mr. T. Grine seconded the motion and on roll call the vote was: Ms. Stannard, aye; Mr. T. Grine, aye; Mr. P. Grine, aye; Mr. Thompson, aye; and Dr. Guernsey, aye. The President declared the motion passed.

MOTION NO. 17-108 DEB PIROLLI CONTRACT
Ms. Stannard moved to correct the August 8, 2017 hiring of Deb Priolli as Assist. Elementary Principal – Part-time to reflect the position of Elementary Dean of Students – Part-time.

Mr. Thompson seconded the motion and on roll call the vote was: Ms. Stannard, aye; Mr. Thompson, aye; Mr. P. Grine, aye; Mr. T. Grine, aye; and Dr. Guernsey, aye. The President declared the motion passed.

There being no further business Mr. T. Grine moved to adjourn the meeting at 6:15 p.m.
