BELIEVE  Drawing Upon Change to Experience Success

A new school year means a new beginning for all.  We have new students, new families, new teachers and support staff, new friendships, and new goals for the upcoming year.  With all of the “new” one thing stands true and that is our vision… “Inspire. Succeed. Leave a Legacy.”  Every member of the Fostoria City Schools community has this opportunity no matter what your role.  This has been the case for the past 160 years in our district and it will not change.  The excitement grows in anticipation of the tremendous opportunities that will present themselves over the school year.

At FCS we are committed to living out our vision and helping guide the future generations of leaders, doctors, teachers, athletes, musicians, and so on.  For generations these have been just a sampling of the opportunities that students from Fostoria City Schools have turned into reality and personal accomplishment following graduation.  As we embark on a new school year, it is my challenge to all students, staff, families, and community supports to set personal goals for success and dare to dream big.  As is true with all goals, we must work hard to accomplish them.  Nothing in this world is accomplished without personal sacrifice and effort.  By working together we should be able to do great things and provide the best support for the students that we work with each day.

It cannot be said enough, what a privilege it is to work with the outstanding students, staff, and families that make up Fostoria City Schools.  I wish everyone an outstanding 2016-2017 school year where we indeed - “Inspire. Succeed. Leave a Legacy.” (August 2016)

Students will show one year's growth through the District providing quality instrudction and balanced assessment.

Fostoria City Schools will implement systemsn, structures and supports for all students, families and community engagement as evidenced through our annual attendance and graduation rates..
