I want to personally welcome you to a great new school year full of Redmen Pride! This is my lucky 13th year serving students at Fostoria Schools and I am very excited to see the new 7th graders!

Professional school counselors collaborate with administrators, teachers, staff, families and the community to ensure all students have the opportunity to design a rigorous and relevant academic and career program. Professional school counselors design and implement a comprehensive school counseling program that includes educational and career planning activities for all students designed to assist students in reaching academic, career and personal/social goals.

All SOPHOMORE students will be traveling to Sentinel Vocational Center this Friday, January 20th! This will be a great opportunity for our students to check out any vocational programs they may be interested in! All students will be called down at 10:15am for an early lunch and will board buses at 11am. We will return to FJSHS at 2:20pm. Please contact Mrs. Soldner-Mehringer with any questions!

I want to welcome all students and parents to the 2016-2017 school year. I have returned to Fostoria for my seventh year of school counseling and am very excited to have the opportunity to work with juniors and seniors this year. I am available to every student who wishes to discuss matters such as career planning, educational planning, college planning, and personal and social development issues. I will be hosting workshops in success to help juniors and seniors become career and college ready. A tentative schedule and list of important dates and events can be found below (please note this is subject to change). I also encourage parents and students to follow our Facebook page to keep up to date on scholarship opportunities and school events.
